Returns and Exchanges Policy

We gladly accept returns and exchanges

Contact us within 7 days of delivery.

Dispatch items back within 14 days of delivery in the same condition.

We don’t accept cancellations, please contact us if you have any problems with your order.

The following items can’t be returned or exchanged.

Because of the nature of these items, unless they arrive damaged or defective, I can’t accept returns for:

  • Custom or personalised orders
  • Returns and exchange details
  • Guarantee and Warranty

It is important to us that you understand the custom nature of what we do, so that you can have your dream jewellery item. Ordering from Gemaxis Jewellery is not like shopping at a chain Jewellery store or from a catalogue, where a large stock is already available. When you place an order, we custom purchase materials especially for your Jewellery. The piece you’ve ordered is crafted by hand just for you. The value of our irreplaceable time and cost of materials is reflected in our policies.

We take pride in our craftsmanship and each of our items are handmade with love. The durability, look, and life of the item will depend on how the item is treated, cared for, and what it is exposed to. We cannot warranty what happens to the ring once it leaves our shop… we can only warrant the craftsmanship.

Returns and exchanges of each item is custom made for each order. If for any reason you decide to return your purchase, please do so within 7 days of receiving your item and following the below guidelines:

  • Exchange requests MUST be approved by us prior to shipping, or your request may be denied and your purchase returned to the original address on file
  • Contact us direct for a return authorisation number (any return without a return authorisation will not be refunded)
  • Item must be returned in the same condition as it was received (no scratches, dents, etc.) with original packaging
  • Buyer is responsible for shipping fees
  • There will be a 30% restocking fee for returning the custom item. If you wish to exchange your item, we can offer you store credit if the full amount of purchase price (less shipping and customs fees). Refunds can take up to 30 days to process.

Price includes all sizes up to U.S size 71/2 (Australian size O1/2) in the woman range and U.S size 10 (Australian T1/2) in the men’s range, all sizes beyond that will incur a small resize fee

GEMAXIS JEWELLERY DISCLAIMER

Making Jewellery is delicate and often utilising precious metals and stones, it is important that it is looked after carefully. In the rare event of a fault or breakage, we will try our best to remedy the situation by referring the issue back to our Master Jeweller. Due to the unique and delicate nature of jewellery please note that our supplier’s individual warranty & return policies may vary.

Please consider the following as a guide when considering purchasing our Jewellery:

Refunds will not be given if the goods have been damaged by you, this includes damage caused by inadequate packaging by you when returning goods. Proof of purchase is required.

Manufacturing faults do not include:
* Chipped, cracked or broken gemstones and inclusions.
* Lost gemstones
* In case of re-purposed or re-modelled Jewellery, any gemstones supplied by the customer cannot     be warranted by Gemaxis Jewellery during or after the manufacturing of the new item. All care will be taken, no responsibility.
* Broken chains.
* General wear and tear including Jewellery that has bent out of shape or oxidised (tarnished).

If you would like any of the above repairs made, we can assess the damage and will let you know the cost before proceeding.

CARE & CLEANING

Respect your jewels and they will respect you! Please note that wear and tear in the course of normal use is not considered a manufacturing fault. Jewellery is precious and you are responsible for its care.

Jewellery and gemstones items are delicate and should be handled carefully. Protect it from chemicals (hair spray, perfume, nail polish remover, chlorine, detergents, lotions etc.) direct sunlight and objects that may damage or cause scratches or dents.

Jewellery that is plated or with certain finishes applied may age or wear back over time. Stones and inclusions are delicate and may chip if not carefully worn. Rings and pendants may break or bend out of shape if mishandled. Gemstones breaking from mishandling is not considered a manufacturing fault.

Clean Jewellery and delicate gemstones with a soft cloth or mild jewellery cleanser (check before use), do not use silver polish or strong metal cleaners.
